Skoolie is a unified platform for study and career guidance that works for compulsory school, upper secondary school and adult education. The platform was founded in 2022 and has been developed together with study and career counsellors (SYV) and students from across Sweden. The municipality procures the platform, and students and counsellors use it both ahead of study and career choices and in ongoing guidance work.

What can students do in Skoolie?

In Skoolie, students search among educations and occupations based on their interests, strengths and grades. The platform gathers offerings from upper secondary schools, folk high schools, higher vocational education and universities in a single search.

• Compare different paths and save options that look interesting.
• Build a CV and export it as a PDF.
• Access salary data, occupational outlooks and labour market forecasts from the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen).

Support for study and career counsellors

A counsellor in Skoolie sees a complete picture of each student: courses, grades, the educations and jobs the student has saved, CV and meeting notes in one and the same interface. This means a guidance session can be prepared in a few minutes instead of having to piece the picture together from several systems. More time goes to the actual conversation and individual tailoring, less to administration.

The platform also flags students with eligibility gaps as support for preventive work. The digital support replaces neither the counsellor's expertise nor the human conversation.

Data is sourced from the relevant public agencies, which means continuously updated information with national coverage.

Skoolie integrates with the student registers you already use: IST, Edlevo, Alvis, Meitner, Schoolsoft and more. This means student data is not entered manually and the information stays current without extra work.

Is Skoolie GDPR-compliant? Yes. Skoolie is the data processor and the organisation is the data controller. All data is stored within the EU and data processing agreements are signed using the standard templates from SKR (the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions).
